Run a weekly competitor monitoring pass
Perplexity checks a standing competitor list for what changed this week, each item tied to a page you can open.
A Monday note: what changed, what did not, and the two links worth reading.
- 1
Keep the same list
Use the competitors you already lose deals to. Adding a new name is a different pass.
- 2
Open the changed links
Drop any line whose page does not say what the note claims.
- 3
File the note
Save it where next Monday's pass can see it. The comparison is the point.
The prompt to paste
Run this week's competitor monitoring pass. The list is standing. I want changes since my last note, not a company history. Competitors: [names] Last note, if I have one: [paste, or say this is the first week] Look at public pages from the last 7 days: changelog, pricing, blog, jobs, and status. For each competitor return: - Changed: one sentence and the page I can open - Unchanged: say so, and do not invent a story - Worth a look: at most one link, or none Then list two changes that could affect our roadmap this month, and one headline I should ignore. Do not estimate revenue, traffic, or market share. If you cannot open a page, omit the claim.
A job post is not a launch. Leave it in the note only if the role itself matters.
