Turn a Notion or Confluence runbook into a shared SKILL.md

Claude compresses a wiki runbook export into one SKILL.md with load instructions so Cursor and Claude Code read the same steps from git.

·Operations·35 min·Working

A committed skill folder, a short wiring note for each tool, and a dry run that proves both agents follow the same checklist.

  1. 1

    Export with structure intact

Use Markdown or HTML export with tables and nested bullets. Screenshots alone drop the checks the skill needs.

  2. 2

    Commit one skill path

Pick a single folder in git. Point Cursor rules and Claude Code config at that path instead of pasting excerpts in two places.

  3. 3

    Dry-run on both tools

Run the same low-risk example in Cursor and Claude Code. Mismatched steps mean the SKILL.md is still ambiguous, not that one tool is wrong.

The prompt to paste

Convert this wiki runbook into a portable agent skill. The source is messy Notion or Confluence export; keep hard requirements and kill duplicate narrative.

Runbook paste:
[paste export — include tables, callouts, and who approves]

Repo context:
[monorepo layout, env names that appear in the runbook, folders agents must not touch]

Deliver:

## SKILL.md
Sections in order: purpose, when to use / when not to use, required inputs, numbered steps (each ending with Verify:), two example prompts, pitfalls, done means checklist.

## Tool wiring (do not duplicate SKILL.md body)
- Cursor: exact path under .cursor/skills/ or your team standard, plus the one-line pointer for AGENTS.md or project rules.
- Claude Code: exact path under .claude/skills/ or shared agent-skills/ root, plus any config file name to update [verify in docs if unsure].

## Migration notes
Bullets for what to delete from the wiki page after the skill ships (only if the runbook said the wiki was authoritative — otherwise say keep wiki as archive).

Rules:
- Keep must, required, and approver names from the runbook verbatim.
- If Notion toggles and Confluence macros hide steps, flatten them into numbered steps.
- Do not invent systems, URLs, or CLI flags not named in the paste.
- Markdown only.

Wiki pages keep changing after you ship the skill. Link to git in the runbook header or accept silent drift.
