Triage the shared email inbox
Gemini reads a shared email inbox and returns an owner, a next action, and whether the thread is waiting on a customer.
A morning list: who takes each thread, what they do next, and what can sit until tomorrow.
- 1
Name the owners first
Fill the bracket with the people who actually read this inbox, and what each one covers.
- 2
Assign the Today rows
Send each owner their rows. Leave Unassigned in the shared thread so someone can claim it.
- 3
Leave Later alone
Do not clear Later by answering it. The triage is the assignment, not the reply.
The prompt to paste
Triage this shared email inbox. I will paste subjects, the sender, and two lines. The people who can own a thread are: [names and what they cover]. For each message return: - Owner: one of those people, or Unassigned if none of them fit - Next action: one verb a person can finish today - Waiting on: us, the customer, or no one - Today or later Do not draft the reply. Do not invent a commitment. If the message is a newsletter, receipt, or notification, mark it Later and say "no owner". Group duplicates.
The model does not know who is out today. Reassign before you send the list.
