Build a multi-step lead enrichment workflow

Make.com chains enrichment APIs to turn a raw lead into a qualified record before it hits the CRM.

·Sales·45 min·Deep

A workflow that takes email and company, enriches with firmographics and intent signals, and routes by score.

  1. 1

    Map your actual APIs

Use the enrichment services you already pay for. Do not build the workflow around tools you do not have.

  2. 2

    Test with ten real leads

Run historical form submissions through the workflow. Fix any step that fails on real data.

  3. 3

Review the scores before connecting CRM

Read the enriched sheet. Adjust the scoring logic if hot leads are not actually hot.

The prompt to paste

Design a Make.com workflow to enrich inbound leads before they land in the CRM. The workflow should run when a new lead submits a form.

Input:
- Email (required)
- Company name (optional)
- Lead source

Steps:
1. Validate email format and reject disposable domains
2. Enrich company data (size, industry, location) using Clearbit or a similar API
3. Check intent signals: recent funding, hiring, or tech stack from a public data source
4. Score the lead as hot (meets ICP + intent), warm (meets ICP), or cold (neither)
5. Write the enriched record to a Google Sheet or Airtable with the score and a timestamp
6. Stop before sending to CRM. I will connect that later.

Show the module sequence, the data mappings, and the logic for the scoring step. Do not add modules for tools I do not have API access to. If a step requires a paid API, note that and suggest a free alternative if one exists.

Enrichment APIs have rate limits and costs. Test the workflow at low volume before you connect it to live forms.
