Build a first-week plan for a new hire
Claude drafts a first week from the role, the tools, and the one outcome you want by Friday.
Five days, each with a task, a person to meet, and something the new hire can show.
- 1
Name the Friday outcome
One sentence. If you cannot name it, the plan will fill the week with orientation.
- 2
Insert real people
Replace every blank with a person who agreed to the conversation.
- 3
Hand it over before day one
Send the plan with the accounts they will need. The plan is not the access.
The prompt to paste
Draft a first-week plan for a new hire. Role: [title] Team: [what the team does] Tools they will touch: [list] Outcome I want by Friday: [one sentence] People they should meet: [names and why, or "I will fill names"] For each weekday give: - One task that produces something visible - One person to talk to, and the question to ask them - What "done" looks like that day Do not schedule more than three hours of meetings in a day. Do not invent company rituals, software, or a manager I did not name. Leave blanks where I owe a name.
A plan that depends on tools they cannot log into is a stall. Check access first.
