Repurpose blog posts into social content automatically
An n8n workflow that turns a new blog post into LinkedIn, Twitter, and email snippets without manual copy-paste.
Every published post generates three ready-to-edit social drafts and an email teaser in one automated pass.
- 1
Connect your blog's RSS feed
Test the trigger with your last three posts. Confirm the feed includes full content, not just the excerpt.
- 2
Review ten drafts before trusting the workflow
Check that the LinkedIn question is answerable and the Twitter hook is not clickbait.
- 3
Add the workflow to your publish checklist
Run it as part of the post-publish routine. A draft in Slack does not count as distribution.
The prompt to paste
Design an n8n workflow that repurposes a blog post into social media content when it publishes. Trigger: - RSS feed or webhook when a new post goes live Steps: 1. Fetch the post content (title, excerpt, body, URL) 2. Extract key points: the main claim, a supporting fact, and a takeaway 3. Generate three drafts: - LinkedIn post: 150 words, professional tone, ends with a question - Twitter thread: 4 tweets, conversational, first tweet hooks, last tweet links - Email teaser: 80 words, curiosity-driven, ends with "Read more" 4. Send drafts to Slack or a Google Doc, each labeled with the post title 5. Do not auto-post. Drafts are for human review and editing. Show the node structure, the prompt for extraction, and how each draft is formatted. If the workflow needs an AI node (OpenAI or similar), note the token cost estimate for a 1,500-word post.
Automated drafts often sound like automation. Edit every draft before you post it. The workflow saves time, not judgment.
