Repurpose long content into a Twitter thread

ChatGPT turns a blog post, article, or essay into a Twitter thread that fits the platform's norms.

·Writing·15 min·Starter

A 5-8 tweet thread that delivers the main point without sounding like a pasted blog post.

  1. 1

    Paste the piece

Use the final version, not the draft. A thread based on unpublished content is premature.

  2. 2

    Read the first tweet aloud

If it sounds like a headline, rewrite it. The first tweet should sound like something you would say.

  3. 3

Post the thread or schedule it

Do not ask the agent to post for you. Threads posted by API often look like automation.

The prompt to paste

Repurpose this piece into a Twitter thread. Do not paste the intro. Get to the point.

Content:
[paste the piece, or a link if it is public]

Rules:
- First tweet: the main point, in plain language, under 240 characters
- 5-8 tweets total
- Each tweet can stand alone if someone only reads that one
- No thread numbering (1/, 2/, etc.)
- No emoji unless the source piece used them
- No "Here's why" or "Let's dive in"
- Last tweet: one sentence call to action, or a link to the full piece

If the piece has multiple arguments, pick the strongest one. Do not try to summarize everything.

A thread is not a teaser. It should deliver value even if no one clicks the link.
